No matter how travelers look at it, parking rates at or near the Philadelphia Airport can be expensive, especially if you have to park there for several days. However, if overnight parking is required, then it is advised that you opt for the economy parking areas. When picking up or dropping off, the hourly parking, located on the first floor of each garage is the best choice. Covered bridges are provided for ease of access to pedestrians. Adjacent to each terminal, the garages have a letter corresponding to each terminals' letter. There are both hourly and daily areas of parking near the airport terminals. These facilities also offer a shuttle service. There are also a few off-site parking facilities that you can expect to cost $8 per day. The terminal parking garages cost $24 per day, and the Economy Parking Lot costs $11 per day. There are two long-term parking options at the Philadelphia Airport. Below you will find parking rates for long and short-term options, hotels that offer parking and shuttles, and possible places to grab a meal. ![]() ![]() This guide will help provide the information to help you make the best choice from the options available to you. In addition to the five on-airport options, there are several off-site garages and lots to choose from as well. Travelers have several parking options both in and out of the airport. Located seven miles from Philadelphia's downtown, it is the largest airport in the Delaware region and the state. It was nice if you were waiting on a shuttle, they came right up to the curb, you stepped on and everything was well coordinated. The Philadelphia International Airport serves both Philadelphia and the surrounding Pennsylvania region. The Phila police used to be aggressive and whistle people (private vehicles) on their way if they stopped even for a few seconds. I asked one of the shuttle drivers if the chaos was normal, he said yes, it's been going on for a while. I'm being real specific here, all the scofflaws I saw were clearly 'friends and family' types, no hint of Uber or Lyft etc. And if the the 'friends and family' driver just sits and waits, or if another 'friends and family' vehicle cruises into the opening the departing vehicle makes then the shuttle drivers just wait far-enough back that they can't pick up and (so far as I've seen, and good for them) will not go to the next terminal and skip their pickups at A. To the point of halting the shuttles in the roadway until the private vehicle(s) depart. I also see the 'friends and family' pickup being done outside Terminal A is a complete mess, intruding two and three cars deep to the curb. Having made two trips in last few weeks I do not see that anymore. Long-term economy parking permanently closed - they will convert it to cargo area.Pre covid there used to be a healthy competition among a few off-site parking lots based on rates and how quick they pick you up. Update: Effective, parking fees at PHL onsite garages are going up to $20/day for long term (now 5th day and onward) and $28 (first four days). Would I be better off walking inside the garage from E or F to D area, or do I go to terminal E or F, then walk to Terminal D? If garage D is full, I can park in garage E or F. How did it go? Was the $16 flat rate or was taxes/fees added in?Īlso, parking might be full during easter. I got a trip coming up soon during easter. Comparing it to smartpark/parkingspot - garage is slightly cheaper without a dependency on the bus. I received an email from Philapark stating: " After being in the facility for more than 72 hours it is a flat rate of $16.00 (including taxes) a day." They don't say anything about taxes/fees - do they still add: Parking Taxes/Surcharge (26.08%), Airport Access Fee ($3.65/stay) ?Īlso, how is the rate calculated if I drop off the car at 8am and pickup 6 days later at 3pm? Is it 6*16 or 6*16+7hourly or 7*16? Can anyone clarify for me the pricing for PHL parking? The website says that economy is closed and they give discount for 72+ parking in the garage above ground level. ![]()
